5 Non-Toxic Empties
Are you ready to come dig through my trash with me?! I want to show you 5 things that I have used up that I WILL be buying again. These are all non-toxic, clean products that work amazingly well. Products that perform well are super important to me. I feel like there are a lot of “crunchy” products out there but not all of them hold up. You know? These 5 are worth it. Ready to see them? Here we go.
Melagel. This is basically tea tree oil in gel form. This is has replaced all of our antibacterial cream for cuts and sores. This also replaced the lanolin that I used for nipple cream while breastfeeding. It is so safe and I don’t have to worry if it gets in my baby’s mouth. THIS IS GOLD. This tiny tube has also lasted me 7 years. SEVEN.
Tallow. Tallow is rendered beef fat that is highly compatible and nourishing for your skin. Grass fed tallow is full of vitamins A, K, D and E. It is also full of lipids that are found in healthy skin. I personally buy from Vintage Traditions. They create a beautiful product of rendered beef fat, olive oil and pure essential oils. Mild Manly is my favorite - so fresh and clean!
Beautycounter Daily Shampoo. This shampoo is moisturizing without being too heavy, lasts a long time, and is curly girl friendly! For anyone following the curly girl method and looking for a non-toxic option - this one is for you! This is a great shampoo for any hair type - my husband loves it.
Dew Skin (tinted moisturizer). This is a tinted moisturizer that has SPF 20. I love using it on the days when I just want a light coverage and some moisturizer. This is also something that has lasted over a year for me (closer to 2 years). Worth every penny!
Shea Radiance Keratin Deep Conditioning Mask. This has delivered the perfect amount of protein + moisturizer to my hair. It is curly girl friendly AND has ingredients that I trust. To all you strictly gluten free people out there - this does have hydrolyzed wheat protein in it but hasn’t caused me to react at all. If you are super sensitive, you might want to stay away from this particular product!
